কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রান্ত সর্বশেষ প্রতিবেদন

          স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের তথ্যানুযায়ী বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে আজ শুক্রবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় দেশে ১ জনের শরীরে করোনা সংক্রমণ পাওয়া গেছে। এ সময় ২২ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে। নমুনা পরীক্ষার বিপরীতে রোগী শনাক্তের হার ৪ দশমিক ৫৫ শতাংশ।   

          গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় কোভিড-১৯ আক্রান্ত হয়ে কেউ মারা যায়নি। এ পর্যন্ত ২৯ হাজার ৪৯৯ জন করোনায় মৃত্যুবরণ করেছেন। করোনা ভাইরাস আক্রান্তদের মধ্যে এখন পর্যন্ত সুস্থ হয়েছেন ২০ লাখ ১৯ হাজার ৮৩ জন।

Ict Advisor Congratulates Bangladesh team for

Gold Medal at International Olympiad in Informatics

Dhaka, 6 September:

The Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Mohammad Nahid Islam has congratulated the Bangladesh team, including Debjyoti Das Soumya, for winning the gold medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2024, creating history for the country.

The Advisor stated that this achievement by Bangladesh's young talented students has enhanced the nation's reputation on the international stage. He expressed great joy over the accomplishment and highlighted that it demonstrates the skills and enthusiasm of Bangladeshi youth in information technology. The Advisor also expressed a desire to meet the Bangladesh team upon their return.

The final results, announced yesterday, revealed that Debjyoti Das Soumya won the gold medal, marking Bangladesh's first gold since 2004. Additionally, Zareef Rahman and Akeeb Azmain Turza won two bronze medals for Bangladesh.

It is noteworthy that IOI is the most prestigious high school informatics (computer science) competition globally. Participants in this competition write programs to solve various challenging problems, making IOI winners considered among the world's top young computer scientists.
