আদর্শিক চেতনা নিয়ে রাজনীতি করতে হবে

    গৃহায়ন ও গণপূর্ত মন্ত্রী ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মোশাররফ হোসেন বলেছেন, দিনদিন রাজনীতিতে নৈতিকতার অবড়্গয় ঘটছে। এ অবস'ার উত্তরণ ঘটাতে আদর্শিক চেতনা নিয়ে রাজনীতি করতে হবে।

মন্ত্রী আজ চট্টগ্রামে জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান ও যুবলীগের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান শেখ ফজলুল হক মনি’র ৪১তম শাহাদতবার্ষিকী ও জাতীয় শোক দিবস উপলড়্গে চট্টগ্রাম উত্তর জেলা আওয়ামী যুবলীগের উদ্যোগে নগরীর মুসলিম হলে আয়োজিত শোকসভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তৃতাকালে এ কথা বলেন।

    চট্টগ্রাম উত্তর জেলা যুবলীগ সভাপতি এস এম আল-মামুনের সভাপতিত্বে শোকসভায় অন্যান্যের মধ্যে সংসদ সদস্য মোসত্মাফিজুর রহমান মিতা, উত্তর জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি নুরম্নল আলম চৌধুরী, সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম এ সালম, যুগ্মসম্পাদক ইউনুস গণি চৌধুরী এবং মহিলা আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি দিলওয়ারা ইউসুফ বক্তৃতা করেন।

    মন্ত্রী বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রীর চিনত্মা চেতনাকে ব্যাহত  করার জন্য দেশে আজ মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বিরোধীরা সন্ত্রাস ও নাশকতার আশ্রয় নিয়েছে। আমাদের উচিত সন্ত্রাস ও নাশকতা প্রতিরোধে কমিটি গঠন করা, যাতে সবশ্রেণি, পেশা ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্বপড়্গের রাজনৈতিক দলের প্রতিনিধি থাকে। মুক্তিযুদ্ধবিরোধী ও বিতর্কিত কেউ যেন স'ান না পায়।

    তিনি বলেন, দেশ গড়তে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার ভিশন ২০২১ এর প্রতি লড়্গ্য রাখতে হবে। ঐক্যবদ্ধভাবে কাজ করলে আগামী ২০৪১ সালে বাংলাদেশ উন্নত দেশের তালিকায় আসবে এটা নিশ্চিত।

    মৎস্য ও প্রাণিসম্পদ প্রতিমন্ত্রী নারায়ণ চন্দ্র চন্দ বলেছেন, এস এম সুলতানের শিল্পকর্ম আগামী প্রজন্মকে সৃজনশীলতায় উদ্বুদ্ধ করবে এবং প্রকৃতি ও পরিবেশের স্বরূপ উপলব্ধিতে সহায়ক ভূমিকা রাখবে।

    প্রতিমন্ত্রী আজ নড়াইলের চিত্রশিল্পী এস এম সুলতানের বাড়ী পরিদর্শনকালে একথা বলেন।

    প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, এস এম সুলতান তাঁর চিত্রকর্মের মধ্যে মানুষ ও প্রকৃতির মধ্যে যে নিবিড় যোগসূত্রের বাণী ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন, তা বিশ্বব্যাপী চিত্রকর্ম ও প্রকৃতিপ্রেমীদের মধ্যে প্রশংসা অর্জন করেছে। তিনি বলেন, এস এম সুলতান ছিলেন আমাদের অহংকার এবং গৌরবের।

    পরে প্রতিমন্ত্রী রামকৃষ্ণ আশ্রম পরিদর্শন করেন এবং নড়াইলের তুলারামপুর কালী মন্দির প্রাঙ্গণে ভারতের রাষ্ট্রপতি প্রণব মুখার্জির সহর্ধমিণী স্বর্গীয় শুভ্রা মুখার্জির প্রথম মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে নাম সংকীর্তন, গীতা পাঠ, অন্ন, বস্ত্রদান ও তাঁর জীবনী সম্পর্কে আলোচনা সভায় যোগদান করেন।

    বিকেলে তিনি খুলনা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল পরিদর্শন করেন এবং রোগীদের খোঁজখবর নেন।

আগস্টের শোককে শক্তিতে পরিণত করার আহ্বান ভূমিমন্ত্রীর

    ভূমিমন্ত্রী শামসুর রহমান শরীফ বলেছেন, বাংলাদেশের আনাচে কানাচে থাকা জঙ্গি ও সন্ত্রাসীদের নিশ্চিহ্ন করা হবে। তিনি আগস্টের শোককে শক্তিতে পরিণত করে বঙ্গবন্ধুর সোনার বাংলা গড়ে তোলার আহ্বান জানান।

    মন্ত্রী আজ ঈশ্বরদী উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগ কার্যালয়ে বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগ ঈশ্বরদী উপজেলা শাখার সভাপতি মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আনিসুন্নবী বিশ্বাসের স্মরণে উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের উদ্যোগে জাতীয় শোক দিবস ও স্মৃতিচারণ আলোচনায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তৃতাকালে এ কথা বলেন।

    মন্ত্রী বলেন, ১৯৭৫ সালের ১৫ই আগস্ট জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু ও তাঁর পরিবারের সদস্যদের হত্যকা- শুধু এদেশে নয়, পৃথিবীর ইতিহাসে এক নৃশংস ও ঘৃণ্যতম হত্যাকা-। তিনি বলেন, জাতির জনক বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান এদেশের মানুষের জন্য খাদ্য, বস্ত্র, বাসস'ান, শিড়্গা ও চিকিৎসা নিশ্চিত করে সোনার বাংলা গড়তে চেয়েছিলেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বঙ্গবন্ধুর সোনার বাংলা গড়ার লড়্গ্যে নিরলস প্রচেষ্টা চালাচ্ছেন। তিনি বলেন, শেখ হাসিনার হাত ধরেই এদেশ উন্নত বাংলাদেশ হবে।

    পরে মন্ত্রী জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু ও তাঁর পরিবারের সদস্যদের বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করেন এবং ঈশ্বরদী আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি প্রয়াত আনিসুন্নবী বিশ্বাসের স্মরণে দোয়া মাহফিলে যোগ দেন। 

    ঈশ্বরদী উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি নায়েব আলী বিশ্বাসের সভাপতিত্বে সভায় অন্যান্যের মধ্যে ঈশ্বরদী উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান মখলেছুর রহমান মিন্টু, আওয়ামী লীগের সিনিয়র নেতা নূরম্নজ্জামান বিশ্বাস, কেন্দ্রীয় শ্রমিক লীগের নেতা রশিদুলস্নাহ আনিসুন্নবী বিশ্বাসের স্মৃতিচারণ করেন।

OIC Secretary General completes his visit to Bangladesh

Dhaka, August 19:

            The Secretary General of OIC, Iyad Ameen Madani completes his three day visit to Bangladesh today on 19 August 2016. 

            During the visit he paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 18 August 2016. On the same day, he had a meeting with Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was part of Madani's four OIC member country visit in Asia. This happened to be his third visit to Bangladesh after assuming charge as the OIC Secretary General.

            During the call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Madani recalled the historic decision of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to join the OIC through participation in the second Islamic Summit in 1974 and appreciated Bangladesh’s close association with and active role in the OIC. He briefed the Prime Minister on the initiatives and projects undertaken by him to address problems and challenges facing the Muslim world and sought her views. Problems of terrorism, conflicts and crises in some OIC member states such as Syria and Afghanistan came up in the discussion. He appreciated wise leadership and role of the Prime Minister in the Muslim world.

 In his meeting with the Foreign Minister Madani discussed wide ranging issues including conflict situation, humanitarian situation and challenges such as radicalism, terrorism and violent extremism facing the Muslim world. They discussed terrorism and stressed the need for debunking false narratives of the radicals and terrorists. Madani briefed the Foreign Minister on the OIC initiative of messaging centre starting from October this year to counter the false narratives of the terrorists. Foreign Minister Ali, on his part appreciated Madani for his support and solidarity with Bangladesh which he expressed following recent terrorist attack in Gulshan. Expressing support and solidarity and standing beside Bangladesh against terrorism was one of the purposes of Madani's visit.  

            Madani said that Bangladesh was playing constructive and active role in OIC for peace and development and affirmed that its views were widely respected and leadership in OIC was widely accepted. He also sought Bangladesh’s support and involvement in the rapprochement initiative and conflict resolution mechanisms of OIC and hoped that Bangladesh would play leading role there. The two dignitaries also had consultation on the agenda, initiatives and cooperation within OIC framework prior to the forthcoming 43^rd session of Council of Foreign Ministers to be held in Tashkent in October this year. They also discussed ways and means of enhancing dynamism of OIC and its engagement with non-Musllim countries having Muslim communities there in the interest of the well being of the Muslim communities there.

            During the visit, the Secretary General made a visit to the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the afternoon of 18 August, to pay homage the memory of the Father of the Nation.

            Allama Farid Uddin Masud, Convener of Bangladesh Jamiyatul Ulama called on the Secretary General yesterday and briefed him of the counter-terrorist initiative of Bangladesh Jamiyatul Ulama and the Fatwa endorsed by one hundred thousand ulama to act as a strong counter-radical and anti-terrorist narrative. He handed over copy of the Fatwa to the Secretary General of OIC. Madani much appreciated the initiative and work of the Ulama of Bangladesh. 

            During the visit, Bangladesh Foreign Minister introduced Ambassador Ismat Jahan to the Secretary General. Ambassador Jahan is going to assume the charges of Permanent Observer of the OIC to the European Union in Brussels at the beginning of September 2016. 

            Secretary General Madani visited Islamic University of Technology, a subsidiary organisation of OIC today on 19 August, heard a presentation by made by the VC of the University Prof. Munaz Ahmed Noor. He also exchanged views with the VC and members of the university faculties as to transforming it into a seat of excellence.    

            Madani closed his visit and left Dhaka today in the afternoon.

ওআইসি  মহাসচিবের আইইউটি পরিদর্শন

    বাংলাদেশ সরকারের আমন্ত্রণে সফররত ওআইসি’র মহাসচিব ও আইইউটির আচার্য ইয়াদ আমিন মাদানী আজ সকালে ওআইসি (অর্গানাইজেশন অভ্ ইসলামিক কো-অপারেশন) পরিচালিত ইসলামিক ইউনিভার্সিটি অভ্ টেকনোলজি (আইইউটি) পরিদর্শন করেন।

    জনাব মাদানী আইইউটির উপাচার্য প্রফেসর ড. মুনাজ আহমেদ নূরসহ ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাদের সাথে বৈঠককালে আইইউটির সার্বিক কর্মকা-ে সন্তোষ প্রকাশসহ এই প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়কে আন্তর্জাতিকমানে উন্নীত করতে ওআইসি’র সার্বিক সাহায্য-সহযোগিতার আশ্বাস প্রদান করেন। তিনি আইইউটি’তে নতুন অনুষদ ও প্রোগ্রাম চালুর ব্যাপারে মত প্রকাশ করেন।

    উল্লেখ্য, এই প্রথমবারের মতো আসন্ন শিক্ষাবর্ষে (২০১৬-২০১৭) ¯œাতক পর্যায়ে ওআইসি’র সকল সদস্য দেশ হতে আইইউটি’তে  ছাত্রী ভর্তি করা হবে।
