রংপুর মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল হতে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার পাচারকারী চক্রের ৬ সদস্য আটক

ঢাকা, ৮ শ্রাবণ  (২৩ জুলাই) :

          আজ দিনাজপুর জেলা থেকে ৩টি ট্রাক এর ড্রাইভার-হেলপারসহ মোট ৬ জন (৩ জন ড্রাইভার ও ৩ জন হেল্পার) রংপুর মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার নেয়ার জন্য আসে। তারা সেই ট্রাকগুলোতে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডারগুলো নিয়ে ঢাকার বিভিন্ন কোভিড হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাবেন বলে দাবি করেন। জনৈক ডাক্তার রেজাউল করিম নামে এক ব্যক্তি তাদেরকে রংপুর মেডিকেল হাসপাতালে অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার নেয়ার জন্য পাঠিয়েছেন বলে ধৃত ৬ ব্যক্তি পুলিশকে জানিয়েছেন বলে জানা গেছে। সে প্রেক্ষিতে ট্রাক তিনটির চালকগণ মেডিকেল হাসপাতালের অক্সিজেনের দায়িত্বে থাকা আবু সাঈদ খান বাবুর নিকট তিনটি চালান উপস্থাপন করেন। পরবর্তীতে আবু সাঈদ খান বাবুর সন্দেহ হলে তিনি ঘটনাটি মেডিকেল ওয়ান এবং ফাড়ির ইনচার্জকে বিষয়টি জানালে কোতোয়ালি থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ এসে আসামী ৬ জনকে জিজ্ঞাদাবাদের জন্য পুলিশ হেফাজতে নিয়ে যান। শেষ খবর পাওয়া পর্যন্ত ধৃত ৬ ব্যক্তি এখন রংপুর কোতোয়ালি থানা হেফাজতে রয়েছে।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা পাকিস্তানের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর জন্য হাড়িভাঙা আম পাঠিয়েছেন

          প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা পাকিস্তানের প্রধানমন্ত্রী ইমরান খানের জন্য শুভেচ্ছার নিদর্শন হিসেবে ১০০০ কিলোগ্রাম বাংলাদেশের প্রসিদ্ধ ’হাড়িভাঙা’ আম  প্রেরণ করেছেন।

          প্রধানমন্ত্রীর শুভেচ্ছা উপহার এ আমগুলো কোরবানির ঈদের দিনে ইসলামাবাদে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশ হাইকমিশনের পক্ষ থেকে পাকিস্তানের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ের রাষ্ট্রাচার কর্মকর্তার নিকট হস্তান্তর করা হয়। বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এ শুভেচ্ছা উপহার পাকিস্তানের পক্ষ থেকে ধন্যবাদের সাথে গৃহীত হয়। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার এই উপহার দুই দেশের সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে একটি বিশেষ নজির হিসেবে বিবেচিত হবে।

কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রান্ত সর্বশেষ প্রতিবেদন

          স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর এবং রোগতত্ত্ব, রোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ ও গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান (আইইডিসিআর)-এর তথ্যানুযায়ী গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় দেশে ২০ হাজার ৪৯৩ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করে ৬ হাজার ৩৬৪ জনের শরীরে করোনা সংক্রমণ পাওয়া গেছে। এ নিয়ে বাংলাদেশে এখন পর্যন্ত কোভিড-১৯ আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা ১১ লাখ ৪৬ হাজার ৫৬৪ জন। 

          গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ১৬৬ জন-সহ এ পর্যন্ত ১৮ হাজার ৮৫১ জন এ রোগে মৃত্যুবরণ করেছেন।

          করোনা ভাইরাস আক্রান্তদের মধ্যে এখন পর্যন্ত সুস্থ হয়েছেন ৯ লাখ ৭৮ হাজার ৬১৬ জন।

Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei organized Tree Plantation Program to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu

Bandar Seri Begawan, (23 July)

            In commemoration of the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh. Bangladesh High Commission in collaboration with the Department of Forest of Brunei Darussalam organized a Tree Plantation Program in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei yesterday. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali Bin Apong, Minister for Primary Resources and Tourism graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor at the invitation by Bangladesh High Commissioner Mrs Nahida Rahman Shumona. In attendance were Bangladeshi community members, members of the diplomatic core, officials from the Department of Forest and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, civil society members, journalists etc.

            The program started with the arrival of the Guest of Honour early in the morning, who inaugurated the event by a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of the program. In total, 101 trees including 41 Ru Runag, 59 Ubah and 01 Neem were planted by the Guest of Honour, other invited guests and officials of the Bangladesh High Commission. Mr. Sumon Banik, a Bangladeshi community member and professional gardener was entrusted by the Bangladesh High Commission with the task of maintaining the saplings for the next 01 (one) year.

            Expressing his deepest personal regard for the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Guest of Honor highly appreciated this initiative of Bangladesh High Commission and wholeheartedly congratulated the Bangladesh High Commissioner for spearheading this excellent initiative worthy of emulation in every possible sense.

            The Bangladesh High Commissioner said that she was very proud and happy to have been able to organize this Tree Plantation Program as part of the ongoing celebrations of the Birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of all times. She candidly told that Bangabandhu was the principal architect of the nation of Bangladesh and therefore, all Bangladeshi citizens irrespective of their religion, cast, creed, colour, socio-economic status and their location of stay, must actively take part in the ongoing celebrations of his Birth Centenary as well as the Golden Jubilee of the Independence of Bangladesh. She thanked the Guest of Honour for attending the occasion and honoured him with a crest. She was of the firm opinion that this program should serve as an inspiration for all to plant more trees crucial for ensuring a bright and green future of the planet and humanity.
